Reading about the system, the world we seem to live under.

I started reading 'Inside Time' a book written by Ken Smith.  I remember Mike telling me about him but with so many stories, it passed by.

I have read a few chapters and already seeing your life and seeing so many other men being treated in the same way.  And Women, it's shocking.

Kennedy was born in Edinburgh, the son of a career Royal Navy officer, Edward Coverley Kennedy, and his wife, Rosalind Grant, daughter of Sir Ludovic Grant, 11th Baronet. His mother Rosalind was a cousin of the Conservative politician Robert Boothby, later Lord Boothby. He was schooled at Eton College (where he played in a jazz band with Humphrey Lyttelton), and was set for university when the Second World War broke out.

We can already see in the news and media about mental health issues getting bigger in our society.

James W Prescott:

If such separation in early childhood is not well handled, sensitive children may be emotionally disturbed for a considerable time afterwards.

It is believed that children aged 6 months to 4 years are more particularly vulnerable. On reunion with mother after a separation it is helpful if the mother can recognize what her child has been feeling. It is important to understand and accept the feelings of hurt, anger and sadness which may come to the surface, perhaps with clinging and babyish behavior  as the child seeks to clear the way to develop once again a trusting, loving and co-operative relationship with his parents. This is one of Nature's healing processes which should be handled with gentle respect and acceptance, not punishment.

The struggle to understand the infant-parent bond ranks as one of the great quests of modern psychology, one that touches us deeply because it holds so many clues to how we become who we are.

Doctor Peter Cook says;

‘Many human troubles would be lessened if the emotional needs of infants and young children were better understood in our society. This applies particularly to attachment needs and the effects of separating infants from their parents.

Some of the most damaged women were routinely placed in the segregation unit for "good order and discipline", it found, with, again, inadequate efforts to address the causes of their distress and manage their behavior constructively.
Hardly the ideal way to prepare women for incarceration. And avoidable, except to give them separate transport would trim the profits of the private companies that ferry women prisoners around.
Another depressing feature, not confined to New Hall, was that inspectors said "as we have found elsewhere, at night, one male member of staff was in sole charge of the mother and baby unit". The watchdogs found that "unacceptable". I find it gross, uncaring mismanagement.

'Visits are especially important in a women's prison, where many inmates are held long distances from their homes and have been the primary carers of their children prior to custody. Inspectors found visits often started late and finished early. Shockingly and inexcusably, they found "separation visits" – where women say farewell to their children before they are taken for adoption – sometimes took place in the main visiting hall. Are they not entitled to respect and dignity at such a traumatic time.

Who made these disgraceful decisions?
I see the evil intentions to separate my family and cause this behavior above, but my children have been cared for and cradled from birth and breast fed up to the age of 4yrs old, the bond is already their.  The Authorities are now trying to use 'Time' as a form of punishment but' unconditional Love will not be broken. It's infinite.

A disgrace of the parliament members and now MPs are now being named and shamed, some of the wrongdoers and cleaning up the system.

Men and Women in prison

Imprisoning people, our usual way of dealing with crime, will not solve the problem, because the causes of violence lie in our basic values and the way in which we bring up our children and youth. Physical punishment, violent films and TV programs teach our children that physical violence is normal.
But these early life experiences are not the only or even the main source of violent behaviour. Recent research supports the point of view that deprivation of physical pleasure a major ingredient in the expression of physical violence.

“The pleasures have been taken away from them, which we were born with, as children.

Human violence is fast becoming a global epidemic all over the world, unless the causes of violence are isolated and treated; we will continue to live in a world of fear and apprehension.

Why is there so much violence in the world?
Unlike violence pleasure seems to be something the world can’t get enough of.
People are constantly in search of new forms of pleasure, yet most of our ‘pleasure’ activities appear to be substitutes for the natural pleasures of touching.

We touch for pleasure or for pain or we don’t touch at all. Imprisoning people, our usual way of dealing with crime, will not solve the problem, because the causes of violence lie in our basic values and the way in which we bring up our children and youth.

Napoleon Hill - The Mystery of Sex Transmutation.

'Widespread ignorance on the subject of sex is due to the fact that the subject has been surrounded with the mystery and beclouded by dark silence. The conspiracy of mystery and silence has had the same effect upon the minds of young people that the psychology of prohibition had. The results has been increased curiosity, and desire to aquire more knowledge on this  verboten' subject ; and to the shame of the law makers.

Reminding myself that Sex desire is the most powerful of human desires

The desire for sexual expression is inborn and natural.

The desire cannot and should not be submerged or eliminated. But it should be given an outlet through forms of expression which enrich the body , mind and the spirit of life.
